Yes, when the use of a TM is imposed by the client, the work is usually charged at a sliding scale rate inversely proportional to the percentage of analogy (or percentage of equivalence between a given segment of the document to be translated and the source language segments contained in the TM). Under the circumstances, the client will provide the TM (i.e., Trados Studio, with which I am familiar).
The tariffs charged vary according to the volume (number of words), the deadline, the type of text (technical, general, advertising…) and the treatment to be carried out (translation, revision, copywriting).
Unless otherwise specified, the quotes are firm based on the texts submitted. When work has already begun, if you make changes or additions, the quote will be modified accordingly.
Depending on availability and ability to perform quality work, urgent assignments (translation or revision) to be delivered in less than 24 hours will be accepted. The rates for urgent projects are then increased by 25 to 50%.
